Those Giant Lizards climbing the Miami Freedom Tower

The historic Freedom Tower gets a funky upgrade just in time for Art Basel. The building located in Biscayne Bay and owned and operated by Miami-Dade College features colorful reptiles made out of resin. The creators of this exhibit, Galleria Ca` d’Oro and Cracking Art Group, are no rookies to this. They used pepto pink snails to decorate Miami Beach in 2010, which created a lot of buzz among tourists and residents. This exhibit, named “Foreverglades” at the Freedom Tower was installed on Friday and will run through Dec. 9. There is also an exhibit inside which will show resin models of 300 more critters.
