The Food Network Is Now Also a Restaurant

This has got to be a dream come true. If you are a major foodie like I am, than you have to embrace yourself for this one.

Food Network, you know, that channel with the food that makes you salivate every time you flip through the channels, has just opened a restaurant. And it is right here in Florida. The downfall is that you are going to have to make an excuse to travel through JetBlue. The restaurant is located at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in the JetBlue terminal. You most probably won’t find celebrity chefs Bobby Flay or Emeril Lagasse in the kitchen but be sure to find delicious food while waiting to catch your delayed flight. Some of the food prepared included a Florida shrimp po’boy, a salmon burger with Key lime mayo, and a Cuban sandwich with café con leche mayo.

The restaurant opened on Nov. 8 and has served 1,500 customers per day. That’s a lot of Cuban sandwiches. There are plans to open another one at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by this time next year.
