Lil’ Wayne recalls taking rap seriously since he was 8 and now at age 30, the New Orleans emcee has plans of retirement after the release of the Carter V. There is still no word on when Carter V will release. Currently, Lil’ Wayne has been keeping himself busy with the launch of his urban skating clothing line TrukFit, his endorsement with Beats By Dre, and his anticipated 2013 release of I Am Not A Human Being II. Lil’ Wayne suggests that his new day job will consists of skating and sports analysis.
Amongst Wayne’s achievements, the emcee signed a music contract when he was 11, and received his first platinum plaque when he was 14. And since the age of 14, every album Wayne has put out has gone platinum. With that being said, at age 30, I think it’s safe to say that Wayne has earned at least the thought of retirement.
