Pitbull has finally won a legal battle with an Australian promoter that accused him of unnecessarily cancelling shows in 2008. Pitbull was hit with a breach of contract lawsuit from Suave Productions for cancelling shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth in 2008. The judge presiding over the case ruled that Pitbull was justified in cancelling the shows after not receiving the payment for the shows on time. He was to be paid $60,000 for the shows, including a $30,000 deposit. It was supposed to be paid on Nov. 25, 2008, seven days before he was scheduled to perform in Australia. But he never got it and therefore cancelled the shows. He was eventually paid $50,975 on Dec. 3rd, but it was already too late for him to make the trip to Australia since he was already in mid-tour.
Next up should be a ruling on Pit’s legal issues with Lindsey Lohan, who sued him for mentioning her on his smash hit single “Give Me Everything”.
