Pubbelly is definitely one of the top foody spots to hit up on South beach. Located directly behind Purdy lounge, this gastropub, or “chef driven bar” has a chill atmosphere and beyond delicious food. One of their recommended dishes is the mofongo with pork belly (pictured above), but don’t shy away from the dates for appetizers or any of their dumplings (thank me later). Part of their menu is Asian inspired, but you can taste the culture of Puerto Rican chef/partner Jose Mendin in dishes like the short rib croquettas. Their desserts are both yummy and creative, and they have a great selection of wine, beer and sake. Absolutely a place I’d recommend – and I personally can’t wait to go back and try something new.
