Magic City Tourist Park used to be a place where Miami tourist and passer-byers of the early part of the century used to, in short, hang out at. And most likely, have a place to stay for a more reasonable price compared to the expensive of hotels of the centralized parts of Miami.
Located on 6005 NE 2nd Avenue, the small cottages were laid out by the dozens and after decades of shrinking interest for the park, the cottages were pretty much deteriorated and have been abandoned. They are in horrible shape and its sad to see such a unique part of Miami’s past (and what remains of it) go towards extinction. Above area couple photos of the deterioration of the houses from when they looked great new, to decent a few years ago, to pure awful in 2007 where the land is now a trailor park (renamed the Magic City Trailor Park).
UPDATE: It seems that the cottages have been demolished and/or whatever was left of them, were moved to a different location.
