If you love fashion and art, make sure to check out The Wynwood Squat. Squat…what is that exactly? It does not involve the literal action of squatting in the streets of Wynwood but an event that will “squat”, or occupy, abandoned warehouses and make good use of them with swanky events every Second Saturday Art Walk, such as The District Factory’s event on Oct. 13 to kick-off this pop-up retail series.
This event will be held on the Lombardi Property and feature video installations curated by O’Cinema, sounds by DJ I.A.N and complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeurves.
Miami fashion blogger Annie Vazquez, The Fashion Poet, will also be attending to reveal her breast cancer awareness photo project with photographer Alexander Tamargo (which we mentioned last week). Their “Fashion For a Cause” campaign shot 26 Miami-based fashion bloggers in shirts that Vazquez designed. They will be on sale for $25 and will benefit The Florida Foundation for Breast Cancer.
