Key West’s Duval Street Makes 2012′s ’10 Great Streets’ List

Key West is not only one of the most recognized cities in Florida, but is also one of the most famous tourist destination’s in the country. Everyone loves to go visit the Keys and Duval street is prime time in the city. Duval is like Mardi Gras all day every day. When I last visited which was a couple weeks ago, I would say about it was 50% tourists.

CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald reports the honor came this week from the American Planning Association’s Great Places in America program.

The nine other APA 2012 Great Streets are: Ward Parkway, Kansas City, Mo.; Main Street, Bozeman, Mont.; Broadway, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; Fifth Avenue, New York City; Wall Street, Kingston, N.Y.; Shaker Boulevard, Cleveland, Shaker Heights and Beachwood, Ohio; Grant Street, Pittsburgh; Broad Street, Charleston, S.C.; and Gay Street, Knoxville, Tenn.
