Making music that is organic, this is the back bone for music band Hundred Waters who recorded their self-titled debut from their home in Gainesville, FL. Hundred Waters has been receiving national attention as of lately for their band’s organic chemistry. The band’s strength seems to be its ability to fuse their acoustic style with a few elements embraced by the electronic music culture. Some are coining the style as folk-tronica, but regardless of what label is placed on their music the band is receiving rewarded attention and has toured with the likes of Skrillex, Diplo, and Grimes.
In a recent musical showcase article on Société Perrier, Hundred Waters discussed their thought process during the making of their first album and even discussed their admiration for the Miami music and dance scene. The band plans on doing shows in the near future in Miami, especially Ultra Music Festival, and have also discussed rocking the house at local venues that they have their eyes on including Club Bardot. Be sure to watch the video below of the up-and-coming band rocking out to their track “Boreal.” The band has also released a video for their single “Thistle.”
