Miami Northwestern High School had the opportunity to showcase their band’s talent in a recent Hip-Hop Music video by Hip-Hop artist Juicy J, but it seems everyone is not so thrilled about the situation. Reports indicate that six band members, in full uniform, appeared in Juicy J’s “Bandz A Make Her Dance” music video. The music video features Juicy J, Lil’ Wayne, and 2 Chainz reciting a strip club inspired anthem.
Porn star Alexis Texas makes a cameo with a Brazzers t-shirt, but honestly there is no shots of girls excessively showing cleavage. The video is actually conservative, compared to the Hip-Hop nature of music videos inspired by strip club records. The controversy surrounding this music video seems to be stemming from the vulgarity in the lyrical content of the song and the highlighting of strippers on poles in selective scenes.
The six Northwestern High School band members in the music video were given written permission by the school and the director of the band to be featured in the music video. Northwestern principle Wallace Aristide told the Miami Herald that he felt the school was being taken advantage of. School officials went on record to state that they did not know strippers would be present in the video and they felt the producers, not the school officials who signed off on the agreement, should be held accountable.
