Nautilus Hotel on the Bay in Miami Beach, built in the early 1920’s by Carl Fisher . It was quite a showpiece in it’s heyday, the Nautilus featured two private islands one suitable for tea dances under the stars, and the second island offered private two story bungalows. Due to the amount of land there was on site the hotel also featured a Polo Field, beautiful gardens and a casino. The Nautilus was demolished in the early 1950’s to make wave for Mt. Sinai Hospital and Interstate 112 (Julia Tuttle Causeway).
