South Florida’s First Ski Resort Might Just Get Approved

Imagine after shopping at Sawgrass Mills you head next door to Pelion Sunrise where you can escape Floridas hot humid weather and cool down. Developer Norman Canter just might bring that fantasy to reality as he’s proposing of bringing the first indoor ski resort in the US down here in South Florida. It would have indoor ski slopes at least 2,700 feet long and kept at a cool 31 degrees fahrenheit, moguls, ski lifts, snowboarding, sledding, and ice skating. The Pelion Sunrise has plans to pop up right between Sawgrass Mills and BB&T Center (formally known as the BankAtlantic Center) next to where the Florida Panthers are also planning of building a casino too.

The combination of a stadium, ski slope, casino and mall all right next to one another sounds awesome.
