If you go to Wynwood every second Saturday of the month or go to Mango’s Tropical Cafe Cafe at 900 Ocean Drive, thank and honor the Art Deco and Wynwood developer Tony Goldman who made it happen.
Tony Goldman, 68, passed away earlier this week on Tuesday due to heart failure in a hospital in New York.
His company, Goldman Properties, turned South Beach and Wynwood from run-down warehouses and buildings to the lively Miami attractions they are now. He also helped turn SoHo into the hispter, trendy attraction that it is now in New York. He is survived by his wife and children, as well as his brother and sister, and four grandchildren.
Services were held at noon yesterday at Temple Emanu-El on Miami Beach.
