The Miami-Dade Pit Bull Ban Vote

This is an issue I know some of you were waiting on the results for. But the repeal of Miami-Dade’s two-decade old pit bull ban has failed as voters took to the polls today where the possible repeal was one of the issues to vote on.

As of 9:41 PM, with the majority of precincts already reported in – the numbers came in at 66.09% for the “NO” side of the argument. So it seems that as of now, the pit bull ban will stay in affect in Miami, making it illegal to own in one in Miami-Dade County.

As a matter of a sidenote, our neighbors in Broward do not have a pit bull ban.

As a side note, Broward had more pit bull attacks than dade county in the last year. Don’t give me the bs that there are more pits in Broward either. Y’all know the truth, it’s not that the dog is more dangerous than others, it’s the fact that it’s attacks are relentless and the jaws lock.

That is an absolute MYTH that the jaws lock. No dog’s jaws can lock. Period.

AS long as people continue to spread the lies and believe the myths about these dogs they will continue to suffer. For now it is the Pitbulls. In the future it will be another breed of dogs. Its terrible. People will never learn.

That’s right it’s just matter of not thinking with your own brain and instead repeating like crazy the words of others. Hellen Keller had a pitbull, why isn’t illegal a Rottweiler or a German shepherd which bites are dangerous. I know many pitbulls and they are sweet dogs. I would love to have a pitbull but thanks to the myths I can’t. I am so pissed off right now.

They dont know what they are talking about because they listened to the normadic media and collene who have venattea against pitbull and it had been proven many times that her information is flaw. Just let them get on with their nut brain since they thinks miami had “no attack since the ban” i was there with my dogs last year and they didnt attack, the ban didnt stop them attacking or us from going there. They are more likely to be shot or stabbed over there. Have you notice how hostility and immature and ill-informed most of miamian is at comments against pitbull? Must be that heat all year around.

the real issue here is this…. How many of you actually went out and voted? You can respond and lie to me if you want to but we all know the answer to that. None of yall woke up early and went to vote, none of yall went and stood in line to vote after a long day of work.
If you did actually go and vote, you would have noticed that the polls were full of elderly people whom are not your typical pitbull fans.

The real arguement here should be, why are people so got damn ignorant and lazy? you have the power to change things that you dont agree with and instead of taking advantage of it, you leave it in the hands of someone else to make that decision for you. The whole time hoping they make the decision your lazy ass could have made for yourself. Then get upset when they dont.

The problem is not the dog breed is the owner of the dogs.

When you train them with love, those dogs are very sweet and don’t bite.

I met several people with this dogbreed and their dogs are very friendly and sweet . Of course, they received love, attention and training from their lovely and responsable owner .

My opinion is, if a pitbul attacked a person/animal etc, the owner is the one to be punish because is not taking care of his dog. Of course, the poor dog must be neglected, abused and not getting love from his owner…

In this case, the dog is the victim TWICE !!

Miami killed over 200 pit bulls or dogs that look like pit bulls last year. And all of that accomplished what? It damn sure didn’t save lives or protect the people. I’m more worried about getting shot or robbed than I am about getting bit by a damn dog. I swear this city has a lot of communist ways.
