When you think Miami, there’s no way of not thinking of Pitbull in the same light. So a few months back when Miami Subs Grill and Pitbull started retweeting each other, we knew it was a good match, but we also knew something bigger was uh’ comin’. And last night, at the Shelborne Hotel, Pit and Miami Subs announced their new partnership with Pitbull having a “significant” equity in the company and a significant role in its re-branding and reorganization to take the restaurant chain worldwide.
There used to be over 170 locations all over the place in its peak in 2001, but the franchise is down to 38 stores in 2012 – most of which are located in South Florida. Pitbull, who will now serve as a member of Miami Subs’ board of directors plans to take the Miami Subs brand to a new level.
So you can add this to Pit’s growing list of ventures and endorsements. Let’s see where the “new” Miami Subs Grill takes itself. Stay tuned.
