Opening Day Details – Miami Marlins and Marlins Park officially “play ball” today

Well, the day is finally here. The Miami Marlins take to Marlins Park for their first official game of the MLB regular season. The last couple days, exhibition games were played against the Yankees, but tonight is the real deal. The controversial stadium is finished and the newly branded team is ready to put their off season moves and decision to a test against the St. Louis Cardinals. The game is completely sold out, but I’m sure online and offline scalpers ($229 resale average) will have what you need if you want to check out the team’s inaugural game as the “Miami” Marlins.

Other notes:
– Emilio Estefan will orchestrate the national anthem with Jose Feliciano actually singing it.
– 37,000 are expected to attend.
– Game starts at 7:05 p.m.
– Gates open at 4 p.m., but the pregame show starts at 6:15 p.m.
– Roof and windows will be open, weather permitting.
