In celebration of Black History Month, Nike has once again given us an incredible collection of outerwear and footwear. Not only are we getting some dope Lebron 9’s, Kobe VII’s, and KD IV’s, but we are also getting Air Max 1’s, Air Force 1 low’s, Blazer’s, and Huarache Free’s (the latest in the Nike hybrid projects which combines the classic Huarache running/training shoe with the new Nike Free technology).
I don’t know about you, but I almost wish they were not so dope so that I wouldn’t feel hurt for not being able to buy them all. All the shoes are primarily black based, but they didn’t use a run of the mill & basic general release leather. There are intricate combinations of fine leathers, nubuck, hyperfuse, and many of the signature materials used by Nike today.
The inspiration for the color palette being used is from the three nations that are being honored with this pack. Not only is it for three (3) nations, but for a great team from each respective nation. They are the following: from most recent memory, the 2008 Kenyan Long Distance running team whom won the gold medal in Beijing, along with the 1996 USA Basketball Women’s team, and lastly the 2002 Brazilian Men’s soccer team. To top it off as if the shoes were not enough, they are also giving us a super fly varsity jacket, a hooded destroyer jacket, t-shirt, and snapback.
The pack is scheduled to release at select Nike accounts nationwide 2/11/12. Peep game…
