The debut EP from 5x DMC Champ Craze entitled, “Dance Aloneâ€. The record has the reminiscent quality of a lot of classic hip-hop albums. It’s got that feel good vibe that makes everything seem alright for a minute and you can listen front to back.
“Dance Alone EP” is 4×4 dance, but it’s far from repetitive. Craze sets it off with the single of the same name, featuring the soulful yet scrappy vocals of Miami’s own Wrekonize of ¡MAYDAY!. Already dubbed the summer’s anthem by many, “Dance Alone” is one of three original tracks included in the EP. “Gimme Some More” is the infectious disco laden groove, and “Love No More” has that ’70’s funk vibe that takes us back to the golden era of hip-hop. This record has been a great opportunity for Craze to take a vacation from the more aggressive sounds he has been know for in the past. In any case, he stays true to his roots on this record. The tracks are laced with heavy bass, and sample chops which have become part of Craze’s signature sound over the years.
Along with a radio edit and club edit of “Dance Alone”, the EP also includes three remixes by up and comers Codes, Atlantic Connection, and Kastle, Craze’s personal picks of the new leader’s of dance music. This chapter in Craze’s musical career solidifies what we already know. Craze always comes with the quality, and always keeps us guessing what he’s gonna do next, making him one of the most exciting artists to watch. Click below to purchase…
