That Was Quick, Plum Magazine lays off majority of staff and is restructuring to keep Plum TV afloat

Shit just got real. Plum Miami Magazine, was spawned from the makers of the trendy Plum TV brand. They officially launched back in March with the above cover featuring Brooklyn Decker and had backing by Jerry Powers, who founded ultra-successful Ocean Drive Magazine. Well, I guess the economy and/or bad management has led to 70 employees being laid off under the Plum empire that spans between Miami and New York leaving about 10 or 15 employees left. This also leaves the print magazine in limbo while the the Plum TV portion of the company restructures to try and stay afloat. Jerry Powers was a co-chairman and chief executive in the company – and resigned about a week or so ago.
