A few minutes ago I noticed a few emails pouring in late night about Kid Cudi’s supposed concert on Friday at The Cove. Kid Cudi took to Twitter and to his Tumblr to announce that the show was indeed not authorized and fraudulent.
But do not blame Major Event Marketing or Uprise, co-promoters of the event. Apparently, you should blame a fraudulent booking agent who was trying to cash in on them a miscommunication between Cudi’s old and new management, according to a late night press release.
One of the organizers, who goes by the name Philipp Klumpp on Twitter, stated that “ALL MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED. JUST LET KID CUDI know how much the show meant to you” and also apparently @’d Kudi by telling him that they were misled and to please accept the “huge” offer they put in to bring him down and keep the show going.
So maybe the show will be saved. Until that’s figured out, you are guaranteed your money back at original point of purchase, which was most likely Inticketing.Com. So sad to see a good show not happen.
UPDATE (7:35 AM): Its looking like this issue might be because of the switch in management that Cudi had a little while back. Major Event Marketing & Uprise release the following press released and statement:
(Miami, Florida) – Major Event Marketing/ Up-Rise presents: Kid Cudi in Cudder’s Summer, May 20th, at The Cove Miami, Fl is canceled due to a miscommunication with Kid Cudi’s new management and them not upholding his prior management obligations. We are currently working with his new management on postponing the show and rescheduling it later after he returns from his tour.
If you purchased tickets from the Inticketing web-site, you will be refunded your money’s back directly from the site and if you purchased a physical copy please send your email to the event page and we will work on getting you your refund.
