TASTE TUESDAYS :: April is the last month to take a trip to Knaus Berry Farm & Bakery in Homestead

Knaus Berry Farm
From mid November until the last Saturday of April, Knaus Berry Farm is open serving the public with all around goodness. With 50 years under their belt, they’ve become a South Dade tradition for lots of families.

Their WORLD FAMOUS cinnamon buns are amazing and you need to try them before they shut down for the summer. They also offer a wide selection of freshly baked pies (apple, cherry, blueberry, strawberry rhubarb and raspberry) and other baked goods. And you can pick strawberries and tomatoes out back as well. Other favorites include the guava and strawberry jellies, the freezer jam, local honey, key lime pie, cookies, hot peppers and fresh picked greens.

The folks at Knaus Berry Farm are often confused to be Amish, but they are not. They are actually Dunkers (a sect of German Baptists) with a reputation for outstanding produce and fresh flowers, fruit flavored milkshakes and homemade ice cream.

For homemade goodness, head over to Knaus Berry sometime this month before they close up shop for the summer and you’re forced to wait till November to give them a shot.
