Good news Heat fans! Udonis Haslem will possibly be back in time for the playoffs. Haslem, who has been injured since November with a torn ligament, was spotted a few days ago participating in shooting drills with the rest of the Heat squad. This could only be a good sign of things to come. Before his injury, Haslem was averaging 8 points and 8 rebounds per game.
Although the big three and the rest of the team have pretty much secured their playoff spot, fans can admit that we still need some help in the paint. Haslem was scheduled to return in April and so far seems to be on the right track for that date.
He recently spoke to ESPN about his return.
“I want to be at 80 to 85 percent,” Haslem said.”One hundred percent? I probably won’t be 100 percent until summertime or somewhere close to next season.”
We hope to see the healthy return of our very own and only Miami local Udonis on the Heat team very soon.
UPDATE: On that last sentence, we actually forgot about James Jones, who’s also a Miami native, born and raised. Thanks Aimz for pointing that out.
