Biscayne Blvd and about 10th Street (1959)

magic-city says: “This is an incredible image looking north on Biscayne Blvd towards the Sears Tower. You can see the old Lindsey-Hopkins (Roosevelt Hotel) in the distance. This image was found in Europe and is part of a postcard series published in 1959 in Belgium. Look at all these gas stations…gas was 30.9 cents a gallon. If you look closely you can see the last remaining gas station on the site just south of the Ten Museum parcel. Zoning run-a-muck! Before we know it, this area will be transformed with beautiful gleaming towers.”
