New York, NY (January 24, 2011) – Music video director David Rousseau, founder and president of CreativeSeen, has announced the company’s new rock division, CreativeSeen Rocks. Rousseau will be teaming up with Fabio Jafet, an award winning director and editor, who has worked with KISS, Skid Row, Magna-Fi and more. The idea for this new venture came to Rousseau organically saying, “I’m a huge rock fan, and in the process of branding and expanding CreativeSeen, it seemed like a natural evolution to start CreativeSeen Rocks.â€
Speaking on the music industry today, Rousseau goes on to add, “Rock music is making a great comeback … there are a lot of new talented bands and artists, and there’s a lot of excitement on our part surrounding that.†Jafet shares the sentiment, “I am thrilled to be teaming up with one of the hottest music video directors out there. We both started out in rock with Skid Row, so we’ve come full circle!” The company will officially launch in February 2011.
This all comes after a very successful 2010 for Rousseau, directing videos such as Lil Wayne’s “I’m Not a Human Being,†Pitbull’s “Hey Baby (Drop It To The Floor)†feat. T-Pain – which debuted on the Kodak screen in Times Square – the MTV VMA nominated Enrique Iglesias video for “I Like It†feat. Pitbull, and Lil Jon’s “Outta Your Mind†feat. LMFAO. Rousseau already has several projects lined up for 2011 involving artists such as Benny Benassi with T-Pain, and Pitbull featuring Jen Carlos Canela.
David Rousseau’s credit list includes some of the biggest names in music today from Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Lil Jon, Birdman, Fat Joe, Lloyd and Akon to international artists Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and Jay Sean. Together, Rousseau and Jafet have won over ten Emmy’s for their work at WSVN (Miami’s FOX affiliate) and WFOR (Miami’s CBS affiliate) in broadcast television. Pitbull’s video for his smash single “I Know You Want Me†was directed by Rousseau, and edited by Jafet, and has garnered over 160 million hits on YouTube. Additionally, Rousseau had a very successful career in broadcast television earning him four Emmy awards.
