I saw this as pretty cool. Al Pacino recently sat down with Larry King on CNN to discuss his numerous legendary roles including Scarface. The movie, which was filmed in Miami in the early 80’s has become a hip-hop staple and a Miami classic.
In this small clip of the hour long one-on-one, Pacino mentions Oliver Stone’s writing abilities for the film, as well as his balancing the “Cuban” accent when he would would be filming 10-12 hours a day and then having to go home to his girlfriend to regular life. You can imagine that as an actor, whatever character you’re playing at the time kinda’ consumes your life, but it always fascinated me to see actor’s clock out at the end of the day and leave the character on set.
Pacino also discusses the Godfather movies. Click below to watch the video.
