I love Jamaican food. And that should be evident by now with the various Jamaican spots I’ve featured in the last couple Taste Tuesdays. Well, I’m surprised I haven’t featured this one sooner.
Clive’s Cafe is located in the heart of Miami, in the Wynwood Arts District. This small little spot has been around longer than most of us have been alive. Opened more than 30 years ago in Clive’s Cafe is run Pearline Murray and sister-in-law Gloria Chin. Its a very small hole-in-wall type place with the feel of a 1970’s diner with a couple small tables.
But don’t let its miniature space fool you. Their food is hearty and makes you feel right at home. All the traditional Jamaican selections are at your dispense: Curry Goat, Stew Peas, Oxtail, and all types of prepared Chicken (Baked, Curry, Jerk, Fried, etc). Along with various soups and sandwiches. Oh and don’t forget the Jamaican Patties and the wide selection of Jamaican beverages.
Great prices and at-home like service. I’m not sure if they still have the Little Haiti location open, but the Wynwood location (which is the one I’m referring to) opens from Monday through Saturday – from the early morning till the early evening. But for exact times, gives them a call. All the info below….
