CheeseMe (official review)

I posted about CheeseMe’s mobile grilled cheese food truck, on the day they first opened for business back in early November. Well, I finally hunted them down and got a taste of what they had to offer this weekend at the Shoe Gallery Art Basel event where the truck was parked. I was a little hesitant at first because the truck looked like a really really really fast food operation and those usually turn up as a disaster. But I was definitely wrong. Its pretty great tasting. And everybody knows that sandwiches taste better when someone else makes em for you.

The menu pictured above gives you a good rundown of their selection. And you also see the various cheeses for their grilled cheese sandwiches….and…their sliders. But an item that YOU CANNOT skip are the Mac & Cheese Pancakes. Simply put, they’re pretty f**kin’ amazing. The pricing is a little high ($6 for a grilled cheese sandwich), but for an occasional treat (or the simple conversation starter), its worth it.

Another tidbit that was mentioned and reported on was that the owner of CheeseMe actually worked a few years in the kitchen at the very exclusive Prime 112 on the beach.

Overall, give CheeseMe a try. But you have to find them because they could be rolling around anywhere in the city. Follow them on Facebook.
