On September 4, the Marlins Super Saturday will feature a post-game performance by Miami-born rapper Pitbull with special guest Fat Joe. First pitch versus the Atlanta Braves is set for 7:10 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium (2267 NW 199 Street, Miami Gardens, 33056). The post-game concert will follow a fireworks spectacular. Pitbull debuted on Lil Jon’s 2002 album Kings of Crunk, after which he released his debut album in 2004 titled M.I.A.M.I., which included singles “Culo” and “Toma.” Pitbull released his sophomore album El Mariel in 2006, followed by The Boatlift in 2007. Last year, Pitbull released his fourth album, Rebelution, which included his highest charting single ever “I Know You Want Me” (Hot 100 #2) and follow-up top-10 hit “Hotel Room Service.” Pitbull has toured with world-renowned artists such as Eminem and 50 Cent, and recorded with hip-hop stars such as DJ Khaled, Lil’ Jon, the Ying Yang Twins and Trina. The album, Armando, Pitbull’s first all Spanish album, is scheduled to release soon. Pitbull will drop his next English album Planet Pit in the fall of 2010.

Fat Joe a.k.a. Crack was born in The Bronx of Puerto Rican and Cuban heritage, Joe became known in the New York-underground hip hop scene during the early and mid-1990s. With 2001’s release of Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.), Joe scored two back-to-back hits with “We Thuggin'” and “What’s Luv?,” which went on to become one of 2002’s biggest pop hits. In late 2002, Joe released the album Loyalty and had hits with “Crush Tonite” (featuring Ginuwine) and “All I Need.” Fat Joe also released a Terror Squad self-titled album in September 1999. The clique released a second album, True Story, in July 2004 with the single “Lean Back,” a smash hit, reaching #1 on Billboard Singles Chart. In late 2004, Fat Joe scored another radio hit with his verse on Ja Rule’s “New York.” Fat Joe’s solo album, All or Nothing’s first single was “So Much More.” The second single, “Get It Poppin” featuring Nelly was used as the theme song for WWE 2005 SummerSlam. In November 2006, Fat Joe released a new solo album, “Me Myself & I.”

Each of the Marlins’ 13 Saturday home games this year are designated as a “Super Saturday.” The highlight of each “Super Saturday” is a post-game concert featuring internationally acclaimed recording artists following a fireworks spectacular. The concert and fireworks are free with each ticket purchased for the Marlins game. Baker Concrete Super Saturdays also feature pre-game parties at The Strike Zone at Gate H with celebrity, player and alumni autograph sessions, Billy The Marlin, Lil’ Billy, the Mermaids and Manatees, special prizes, live TV/radio broadcasts and interactive giveaways for fans. Fans can also still pick up a prorated Super Saturday ticket plan, which includes discounted pricing on tickets to all remaining Super Saturdays, as well as Marlins Closing Day (Oct. 3).

Fans can enhance their “Super Saturday” experience by purchasing VIP “Pit Passes” for any of the remaining concerts this season.
