Fort Lauderdale, FL — Retail jewelers partnering up with local sports stars and designating them as brand ambassadors isn’t anything new, but what about a collaboration with someone who spins the beats for those stars of the court and field?
That’s exactly what South Florida retail jeweler Levinson Jewelers is doing via a new partnership with DJ Irie, the Miami Heat’s official DJ.
A staple on the Miami club circuit and a much sought-after DJ for high-profile events on the national level, such as Fashion Rocks, the BET Awards and the Orange Bowl halftime show, DJ Irie will help to promote the Levinson brand, its jewelry and timepieces as the latest Levinson Jewelers ambassador.
In addition, together with Robin Levinson, co-owner of Levinson Jewelers, DJ Irie will design a signature line of jewelry bearing his name. The pieces will be promoted through DJ Irie’s Web site and will be available for purchase through Levinson Jewelers. The kicker is that it’s all for a good cause. Proceeds will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, the retailer said in a media release.
“This was a natural collaboration, considering both Levinson Jewelers and DJ Irie represent an elite sense of style,” Robin Levinson said in the release. “Together we hope to develop a trendsetting line of jewelry that is fashionable and functional, and all to benefit the wonderful cause and tremendous mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters.”
A VIP kick-off event in celebration of the partnership and the new line will be held at Levinson Jewelers later this year.
