Rick Ross talks BMF…not the song, but the actual B.M.F.

Rick-Ross

In an interview with Detroit’s CoCo Foolish and Mr. Chase in the Morning radio show, rapper Rick Ross spoke briefly on meeting with BMF (Black Mafia Family) leaders in Miami.

“They was in Miami for a long time man,” Rick Ross explained. “While we on that subject I gotta salute the big homie J-Bo, you know what I’m saying. I had the opportunity to meet you once or twice…in Miami, but my homie was actually J-Bo who I actually got to kick it with.”

The rapper pays homage to the now crippled drug trafficking organization in his song “BMF (Blowin Money Fast).” On the track Rick Ross raps, “I think I’m Big Meech, Larry Hoover, whipping work, hallelujah.”

“They influenced the streets on a whole ‘nother level,” said Ross. “And that was one of the reasons the record was even made because when you touch generations the way he did on many different levels I feel like it was only right to pay homage to the O.G.”

Big Meech, one of the leaders of the BMF, is expected to be released from an Atlanta prison in 2031.
