Rapper Nelly proved his star quality with hits like “Country Grammar,†“E.I.,†“Shake Ya Tailfeather†and “Ride Wit Me.†His sophomore album Nellyville sold six million albums and earned him two Grammies for the singles “Hot in Herre†and “Dilemma.†To date, Nelly has sold more than 30 million records and is recognized as one of the industry’s top recording artists.
New York City and Miami native Kevin Rudolf produced and wrote his debut album, “In The City.†Kevin’s album smoothly blends pop, rap, and rock melodies as demonstrated by his single “Let It Rock†featuring Lil Wayne, which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Kevin recently released his new single “I Made It (Cash Money Heroes),†featuring label mates, Lil Wayne, Birdman and 3x platinum, British hit-maker du jour, Jay Sean.
Young rappers The New Boyz lead the jerk movement with their hit song “You’re a Jerk,†the first single from their Skinny Jeanz And A Mic album. The duo of Ben J (born Earl Benjamin) and Legacy (Dominic Thomas) formed in 2009 as an underground youth phenomenon from southern California and in just a matter of months, they’ve become rising national stars.
