Including the first single titled, “On Fire”and second single titled, “Da Da Da”. New tracks include “Paradice,” “Get A Life” and “I’ll Die For You”. Cool & Dre On Board for an Array of Major Production projects To Include Justin Timberlake’s new rock Group Free Sol, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Bow Wow and Travie of Gym Class Hero’s new solo project!
Miami Based Grammy nominated, chart-topping super producing duo Marcello “Cool” Valenzano and Andre “Dre” Lyon known as Cool & Dre and their production company Record Room Productions have secured 5 songs on Lil Wayne’s high anticipated rock inspired album “Rebirth” including the first single titled, “On Fire” which samples Amy Holland’s “She’s On Fire” from the soundtrack to the classic film Scarface. “Rebirth,” which is set for release tomorrow, will also include three other songs produced by Cool & Dre: “Paradice,” “Get A Life” and “I’ll Die For You.”
Says Dre about the urban inspired track “On Fire” – “One night I was watching Scarface and I woke up in the morning with Holland’s “She’s On Fire” in my head. I called up Cool and told him that we should transform the song using the guitars in the song and work with this song with Wayne. We redid the whole beat and kept the “she’s on fire” vocal sample. We gave it to Wayne and he did what only Wayne can do and killed it with his guitar playing spitting and singing. I knew our collaboration would take this track to the level.” As for the second single, “Da Da Da” says Dre, “Wayne plays bass on that record and it’s a mash up of everything – Pop, Rock, R&B, Hip Hop. It’s something Rick James would bug out on. It’s Cool & Dre hot. The other 3 tracks produced by Cool & Dre for REBIRTH include “I Die,” “Paradise” and “Get A Life.”
Says Dre, “Lil Wayne’s Rebirth album has been an amazing opportunity for Cool & I to venture creatively into the world of rock. This album will open doors for many urban bands around the country. There are so many artists who create music outside of R&B and Hip Hop that we believe Rebirth will help open avenues and create a lane for these type of artists. I remember a time where Prince and The Revolution ruled the charts. I’d love to see music become diverse again. Wayne is more than just a hip hop artist, he’s quickly becoming the face of a generation. We’re proud to have been given this tremendous opportunity.”
