One of my favorite albums. I actually own this on vinyl. This is a compilation of old school Miami artists from the 1960′s and 1970′s. A compilation of old soul and r&b from that era. And you’ll definitely recognize some of the songs and sample on here if you are a big hip-hop head. Tracklisting and download link below and please note that you need a RAR expander (Win/Mac) to open the file…

Cue Kanye & Paul Wall’s “Drive Slow”
(Sun Sentinel) – Miami Heat guard Carlos Arroyo was arrested just before 9 a.m. Friday during a traffic stop for failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest without violence.
According to a release from the Coral Gables Police Department:
“A Coral Gables Police Department detective operating an unmarked unit observed a vehicle impeding the flow of traffic. After monitoring this driver for several blocks, the CGPD detective became concerned with the driver’s behavior and the safety of the public. He then requested that a marked police unit respond to the area to conduct a traffic stop.
“A uniformed marked police motorcyclist made numerous attempts to stop the subject vehicle with negative results. Eventually, the driver did pull over but continued to disobey the lawful order to exit his vehicle. Additional units were requested due to the unwillingness of the driver to comply with the officer’s lawful orders. The driver eventually exited the vehicle. While being taken into police custody, the driver attempted to resist being handcuffed.”
According to the report, while in custody, Arroyo, “continued to be confrontational and challenging. Arroyo was posing a threat to both himself and the officers during the traffic stop.”
The report said Arroyo was transported to the Coral Gables Police Department for processing, charged with operating a motor vehicle at such a slow speed as to impede or block the normal flow of traffic. Arroyo was also charged with failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest without violence.
Arroyo was released with a promise to appear, but did not appear at the Heat’s Friday practice that began at 10 a.m. and continued until noon.
He remains with the Heat and is scheduled to be available for Saturday’s 3:30 p.m. game against the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at AmericanAirlines Arena. The team issued a statement from team president Pat Riley after being made aware of the incident.
“We are aware of the traffic stop involving Carlos Arroyo this morning, and while we fully support our players, this is a pending legal matter and we will have no comment at this time,” he said.

One of my favorite streetwear brands (not because I rock their sh*t, but because of the dope photos of half nekkid women they take), T.I.T.S., which is based in the west coast, released some photos of their crew hanging out at their booth at the Magic Convention that took place in Vegas a couple weeks back. A Florida woman prominently featured in a homemade sex tape posted online by 50 Cent last year as part of his feud with Rick Ross has sued 50 (born Curtis Jackson) in New York City, claiming he unlawfully distributed the video over the Internet.
According to The Associated Press, Lastonia Leviston filed the lawsuit on Wednesday in Manhattan, claiming unauthorized use of her name or image and emotional distress caused by the public release of a video she made with an unidentified man in 2008. In the tape, Leviston is seen showing off a tattoo on her chest with the initials “RR,” seemingly in reference to Ross, and 50 is heard providing exaggerated voice-over narration to the action in his wigged “Pimpin’ Curly” persona.
In the lawsuit, Leviston claims the rapper posted the video on ThisIs50.com last year, blurring out the face of the man in the tape but not hers, and that 50 edited himself into the video.
The New York Daily News reported that Leviston claims she asked the man in the tape, Maurice Murray, to destroy it. He agreed, but then allegedly either gave or sold it to 50. In addition to airing on 50′s site, the video made it onto YouTube and other video-sharing sites and has been seen millions of times, the suit claims. Leviston also claims that 50 spoke about the video on a radio program and referred to her as a “call girl” in it.
A spokesperson for 50 could not be reached for comment at press time.
The release of the video was part of a long-running beef between 50 and Ross, which featured a number of dis-heavy mixtape songs, mocking animated videos and a clip in which 50 appeared with Tia Kemp, the mother of Ross’ son, who mocked her former partner.

World-Renowned Artist Launches the “Year of the Pitbull” with Coronation as Miami Carnaval King, Prestigious Award Nominations, Joined Top Latin Stars in “Somos El Mundo,” the Spanish-language version of “We Are The World,” Plus Collaborations with Janet Jackson and Cypress Hill. Spanish Album Armando Due in May, New English Album Set for Summer.
(MIAMI, FL) – Pitbull introduced Calle Ocho in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood to the world last year with “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho),” the international smash from his 2009 album Rebelution. To kick off what he calls “The Year of the Pitbull,” the globetrotting artist will return to his native Miami March 12-14 to serve as the King of Carnaval Calle Ocho, a popular street festival that attracts more than 1.5 million to the city every year.
“I remember having some crazy times at Carnaval Calle Ocho growing up. To come back this year to serve as king is an amazing honor and the perfect way to start what’s going to be my year,” says Pitbull, who was given the key to the City of Miami last August and calls himself Mr. 305 in honor of the city’s area code.
Just this month, Pitbull joined more than 50 of the biggest names in Latin music to record “Somos El Mundo,” the Spanish-language version of “We Are The World,” which will benefit Haitian earthquake victims. In addition, he is featured on Janet Jackson’s highly anticipated new single, “Heart, Beat, Love.” Pitbull can also be heard on “Armada Latina” from Cypress Hill’s forthcoming album. In fact, Pitbull’s 2004 certified-gold debut, M.I.A.M.I., was the biggest-selling bilingual hip-hop debut since Cypress Hill’s 1991 self-titled debut.
Pitbull steps away from the studio this March to perform with Ludacris on MTV’s Spring Break, before appearing on VH1’s Hip Hop Honors Tribute in early April. Pitbull continues his U.S summer tour, kicking off a new leg in June.
As if that were not enough, the artist will drop new music later this year with the release of his Spanish album Armando in early May, followed by a new English album this summer.
