We’re doing Old School Sundays a little different today. We’re grouping everything in one post and giving you the option of downloading each track individually…or…downloading them in one compact zip file. If you prefer how we used to do it, where we’d do an individual post per each track, definitely let me know, but I think the new way may save a little space and not make the front page so congested at the start of the week.
Either way, this week we got requests covered from 2 Live Crew, Another Bad Creation, Faith Evans and more. Click below to download tracks individually or to download all at once click here.

The event took place on the evening of Thursday January 28, 2010 at Shoe Gallery in Downtown Miami. We posted the photos yesterday, well…here’s a quick little video I put together.
Customers had the chance to customize their very own N98 Track Jacket via the NikeID studio that was placed inside Shoe Gallery from that evening and then throughout the weekend. You can still pass by Shoe Gallery and customize your own N98 track jacket all day today (Saturday) and all day Monday.

Last night, NikeSportswear and NikeiD set up an exclusive studio at Miami’s Shoe Gallery to accommodate those who want to customize their very own Nike N98 Track Jacket:
Inspired by a match that moved the world, the N98 Track Jacket stands for “National 1998,” notably paying tribute to the1998 Brazilian National Team. The N98 design takes off from the debut Brazilian team kit by Nike, tapping the classic zip-front track jacket’s deep heritage as a true icon of sport style. The Nike Sportswear team has made it a signature piece for spring, integrating it throughout the line. – NikeSportsWear
So, Nike and Shoe Gallery teamed up and set up a little event to celebrate the new “pop-up” studio of sorts that will be available all weekend from today January 29th through February 1st at Shoe Gallery (244 Northeast 1st Avenue, Downtown Miami). We stopped by and took a couple photos of the events, as well as some of the familiar faces that came to see what possibilities there were in customizing your very own N98 Track Jacket.
A special shout out to the entire Shoe Gallery family for letting me pass through and document the event – as well as the various people I met there like Ali & Rob from SneakerMeStupid.com, Johnny Walker from FlawlessHustle.Com, Safe from Mi Gente Clothing, Joe from Last Rights, DJ Crunchtime and everybody who pulled me to side to say whats up.

The Bawse is back and he’s got his Grammy-winning friend with him. Rick Ross and John Legend recently finished a new collaboration called “Sweet Life,” with a video to boot.
“It’s a lot of Internet, a lot of online chatter going on — a lot of talk of this new Rick Ross/ John Legend collaboration,” Ross said. “I’m confirming it. It’s official. We got another record. … Ah man, I don’t know how to describe this one. ‘Magnificent’ was one of my favorite records off Deeper Than Rap. But the new John Legend [collaboration] is most definitely next-level vibe. We back at it. It’s most definitely creative. Shout-out to John Legend — I think he makes a huge contribution to music. Myself, I try to get better and better with every rhyme I make — every rhyme I bring to the table, I want to make sure it’s more potent than the last. I’m setting this album, Teflon Don, to be the album of my career.”
Ross’ record with Legend won’t be released for a while, so the first song he wants to focus on is the sequel to his controversial “Mafia Music.”
“Always wanted a Rolls Royce with no job,” he raps. “All I fear is a dope charge/ Tell me what’s the odds of appeal for a dope boy?/ Who sheds tears for a dope boy?/ Or what happens to the kids of a dope boy?”
” ‘Mafia Music 2′ is the first release from my album Teflon Don,” he explained. “It’s real exciting. A lot of people don’t know Teflon Don was my original rap name — so it’s coming back around full-circle. For me, it makes sense to come back with ‘Mafia Music 2′ because my hunger is the same from ‘Mafia Music 1.’ It’s a new year.”
Jovi Rockwell went to Los Angeles recently and partnered up with Puma to shoot a series of promo campaigns, along with a music video for her next single “Keep It Real”. Behind the scenes photos below….
Safe with locally based Mi Gente Clothing recently did an interview with Strictly Fitteds. They talk in-depth about his collection, amoung other things. And ya boy Derick G handled the photo duties for the feature. Click here to read the interview.

(AllHipHop) – Internationally acclaimed DJ Irie and Miami Dolphins All-Pro Jason Taylor begin a new after-school initiative for children interested in the discipline of deejaying today. (January 29).
“Irie’s DJ Spiniversity” will be held at the Miramar Youth Enrichment Center in Miramar, FL.
Its location is strategic, with the goal bridging the student’s predilection for music and their educational skills needed to excel in school.
Irie’s debut seminar is set to include an exhibition, a DJ battle, and teaching Jason Taylor turntable skills.
In addition, students will be taught the history of the DJ, music theory, scratching, and mixing.
Even as a DJ that’s traveled the world and received much acclaim, Irie holds his new educational endeavor as one of his most important career ventures.

I expect to see some great talent come out of the Irie DJ Spiniversity.”

Shadow Play Entertainment is pleased to announce that recording artist/author Jacki-O and recording artist/author/actor Tray Chaney have been named Ambassadors for Community Options, Inc.
Community Options is a national nonprofit organization that has been developing small, community-based homes and employment supports for people with disabilities for over twenty years. The organization operates in 32 cities across 9 states including New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas and New Mexico.
When Jacki-O and Tray heard about the good the organization was doing, they were excited to use their celebrity to bring attention to the cause.
“As a mother myself,” says Jacki-O, “I know how precious the lives of all children are. For that reason, it is my belief that any organization that provides assistance for those with disabilities—regardless of their age—is one that we need to support. Community Options is such an organization.”
Also a parent himself, Tray agrees. “At a time when all of us are in need of something, it is easy to forget that there are those who face daily challenges that we take for granted. Organizations like Community Options remind us that those who have must give to those who don’t. It is our responsibility as Americans.”
When talking about the organization, President and CEO Robert Stack says this: “Community Options will create new waves for persons with disabilities in this new decade in the twenty first century. Community Options is a wave maker. In this decade, the public will equate our non-profit as the symbol of freedom and dignity for people with disabilities.”
Look for Jacki-O and Tray Chaney to be featured as part of Community Options’ national campaign and promotional material. To find out more about the organization, visit http://www.comop.org or their blog at http://www.communityoptions.blogspot.com

(AllHipHop) – Lawyers for controversial reggae star Buju Banton claim that the government set the Jamaican artist up, by using a paid informant.
According to court documents filed on Tuesday (January 26), Banton’s high powered defense attorneys David Markus Marc and David Seitles claimed that the government entrapped the singer, because the informant pressured Buju to purchase the cocaine.
Markus is pushing to have the informants identity revealed, because his credibility or lack thereof, could send Buju Banton for the rest of his life.
The singer allegedly met the informant on a flight from Madrid, Spain to Miami, Florid, in July of 2009.
The informant allegedly spent the next three months trying to purchase the cocaine.
“In addition to refusing to disclose the identity, the government has refused to identify the prior cases in which he has been involved, the outcomes of those cases, the amount of money he has earned making cases for the government, or even the amount he has been paid (or expects to be paid) in this case,” the court papers read.
Buju Banton, born Mark Myrie, was arrested on December 10 and charged with conspiring to buy more than five kilograms of cocaine from an undercover law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm during the course of illegal activity.
Although he was not present in the warehouse that was used in the sting operation when the others were arrested, the DEA claims they have audio and videotaped evidence of Buju Banton testing a package of cocaine.
Buju Banton has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is being held in Pinellas County Jail in Tampa, Florida, without bail.
I am not a Republican. And I am not a Democrat. I support no political parties whatsoever. However, I do support out country that we live in, as well as our president. And on the lighter side of things, I always like when the White House releases candid photos of the president working and/or doing the fam thing. And with this, here is a year in photos – candids taken over the last year or better said, his first year as president of the United States of America. Click below for photos.

ShoeGallery got together with Upset Gentlemen, also known as the guys from the TV show Miami Ink, and came up with an impressive design for the Adidas ZX 700 Boat. These new shoes are set to be released February 6 during Super Bowl weekend at ShoeGallery. Retail is $110.
The inspiration behind the look of these shoes was old school dressy color way with a nautical twist. The colors such as Oxblood Red, Gold eyelets, and a touch of Gray were a great start, but the finishing touch was the Bone, which tied it in together since it was a complimentary neutral. This is a promising start for upcoming projects from ShoeGallery and Upset Gentlemen.
