I just lost all respect for Mayday. This was just horrible. Just my opinion though.

^ the audio wasn’t the best, granted, i’ll give you that, but i know you’re not talking about the audio.

i think you opened the doors for a good debate. so what exactly did they do wrong to lose your respect?

is it cuz they appeared as a backup band in a fictional scene for a lil wayne video? cuz they did something left field? or is it that you dont like lil wayne and you knock anyone who associates themselves with him?

dude, its a great opportunity that could open more doors for them. everybody that i know personally from Mayday are good people with hip-hop in their foundation. just cuz they don’t have the “backpacker 24-7 boom bap” mentality don’t mean you gotta knock them homie.

i cant tell you how much these dudes deserve everything coming to them!!! 2010=MAYDAY!

@SoFLoHipHopShow
Mayday is one of the last acts in this country with integrity. If you lost respect for them because they collaborated with a nationally recognized artist, then you probably didn’t have any respect for them to begin with.

Excellence is achieved through people working together and sharing ideas, even so for your genital herpes medication.

I am fan of Mayday and they make awesome music. I just don’t want to see their ego grow just cuz they rocked out with a nationally recognized pop star. Little Wayne is a talentless artist that doesn’t deserve to be listened to by the fans of Mayday. I don’t wanna knock them if their just trying to get some publicity; just know your crowd. If they had rocked out with say, Mos Def or Blu or even Lupe Fiasco, then it would of been a different story.

So i guess i’ll just rephrase myself and say i’ve lost some respect for them solely on the basis of them working with a terrible rapper. I think Mayday has the talent to make it mainstream, i just hope they don’t forget about their underground roots, and the true essence of real hip-hop.

oh, and @ Q: Are you serious? How old are you?!?

the ones with the negative opinions obviously have no regard or intellect when it comes to the entertainment industry and the way marketing works. This is a great opportunity for them and the fact that someone like lil Wayne (no matter of your opinion of him) and how HUGE he is at the moment, has recognized local talent and given them a hand is a Great Big Step and shows these guys are doing what it takes to succeed.

sooo yeah. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2010=Mayday ;-)

Congrats to MAYDAY! Not just for the Wayne cameo (You would have to be crazy to turn down an opportunity like that), but for all the hard work their putting in. The live show is a testament to that.
Live music at its finest! Can’t wait for the next release. Keep it up fellas!!

u have to be kidding me. mayday sucks .. ive seen them live .. they are by far the most overrated band in miami… and here there are exposing themselves… there are little kids that play down the street from me that sound better than this. what an absolute embarrassment. they probably give money or crack away to get fans. how else can this bullshit be explained.
