QD3’s “Lil Wayne – The Carter” documentary top movie charts on iTunes

{BallerStatus) – The critically-acclaimed Lil Wayne documentary, “The Carter,” topped iTunes’ movie list last week.

“Having our Lil Wayne ‘The Carter’ documentary place in the Top 10 on both U.S. and Canadian iTunes store within the first 48 hours, competing neck and neck with multi-million dollar studio films, such as ‘Bruno’ and ‘GI Joe’ during Christmas season is quite a feat for a self distributed indie doc and beyond our expectations,” producer QD3 told AllHipHop.com. “We are very excited about continuing to innovate within the digital space.”

Director Adam Bhala Lough and crew followed Weezy around the world for nearly to capture comprehensive and personal interviews with the rapper and provide insights from those that know him best. It dropped on November 17th, a week before Thanksgiving, and has since received rave reviews from major publications. QD3 Entertainment’s “The Carter” is currently available on iTunes for $14.99, or on DVD at Amazon.com.
