Miami Herald (Miami, FL) – T-Pain is all about the automobile. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the 26-year-old rapper showed off his collection of wheels that he brought to Miami to record his new album, Revolver.
The Atlanta R&B robo-soul man felt he needed five cars for the two month stay; he left the other 27, including a tricked-out hearse he rode to the Dolphins cheerleaders calendar unveiling at Casa Casuarina in August, in the garage.
A favorite? That’s hard to say, but the 2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom is pretty sweet (price tag: $500,000).
“It’s so smooth you could fall asleep in the trunk,” the Auto Tune king (born Faheem Rasheed Najm, in Tallahassee) told the magazine.
The majority of the entertainer’s cars are by BMW (which Rolls-Royce owns); T just bought his wife the so-called clean 650i diesel, which emits cleaner exhaust than a gas car.
But, man, nothing tops driving buddy Lil Wayne’s Bugatti, in which the Good Life singer achieved his personal high speed of 200 mph.
“That scared the sh*t out of me,” T admitted.
