The 3rd Annual DJ Laz Music Conference goes down this weekend on October 3rd at Gulfstream Park. Its gonna be an insightful days worth of information and advice from industry insiders. And the prices have been slashed considerably from years past (click here for info and pricing). In preparation for the conference, DJ Laz and Ivy of the Power 96 Morning Show interviewed producer Mad Skrews (who has an interesting story and history gained from attending a previous year of the conference) as well as an interview with T-Pain’s manager, Mike Blumstein. Then you also have Ivy, who does a little bit of a “moaning audition” for T-Pain’s manager to see if she could get any placements on any future records.

Jason DeRulo (born September 21, 1989) is an American pop singer-songwriter, dancer, choreographer, vocal producer and actor from Miramar, Florida. He has worked with artists such as Lil Wayne, Cassie, Kat DeLuna, Birdman, Donnie Klang, and 7 Aurelius. Jason Derulo attended Dillard High School for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jason Derulo is a graduate of the New York American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA).
In June 2009, Beluga Heights/Warner Bros and Jason released a new song titled “Whatcha Say”. It samples the Imogen Heap song “Hide And Seek”. It has been released to radio. On the issue date of August 29, 2009 the song debuted at number 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is currently at number 7. The song has also reached number 2 on the iTunes Top 200 Songs as of September 23, 2009. And locally in South Florida, the song has gained rotation on Power 96 and Y100.

Supporters and organizers from PETA took to the streets of Downtown Miami and Downtown West Palm Beach to protest the “cruel” act of “fishing”? I’m all for animal rights and anti-cruelty and such – but this didn’t work for me at all. When I see these photos and this VIDEO, all I can think is “omg who are these girls?” More specifically, who’s the big-chested brunette pictured above. Sorry, I’m a guy and this what we think when we see things like this. We don’t think “hey, let’s stop eating Filet-O-Fish sandwiches from McDonalds”.
