Earned his nickname “Ju-Boy” from a best friend from his high school, currently goes by the moniker “Ju-. Diddy”. Call him what you like, but the fact is Jules aka Jullian Andres aka Jullian Boothe is responsible for more classic hip-hop records to come out of Miami than most people know of. Julian Andres Booth Jamaican Born and Miami raised attended Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for Music Business, but his life took a dramatic turn when he took an internship at Entertainment Resources, where he met the man who would become his mentor, industry leader Luther Campbell (former 2 Live Crew members). Shuttling back and forth from job to job, Jullian’s energy and commitment earned him the leap from intern at Entertainment Resources to Director of A&R at the age of 19 of Luke Records. Shortly thereafter, he engineered the careers of Luke Records artists Uncle Luke, H-Town, 2 Live Crew and Pitbull, producing their music and influencing their image by tapping into the style and flare of urban youth. He help start off the careers for 90% of the DJ in the Miami area while being the head producer of the Luke Show on Friday Night on WEDR 99 Jamz, where he broke new DJ’s as they were aloud to mix live. DJ Khaled, DJ Irie, Papa Keith, Teddy T and many more. Also Jullian helped with the creation of the Luke Freak Show DVD series which was a huge success and sold over 500,000 copies nation wide. In 2000, Jullian left Luke Records, but he reemerged later the same year at Slip N Slide Records. There he helped A&R some of the biggest records that Miami has offered with Trick Daddy. Also helped Trina be the Baddest Chick of all with three gold albums. Molded the careers of Rick Ross and Plies, two of SNS’s newest superstars and now just signed the next big thing in POP and R&B music QWOTE. The biggest legal battle Jullian fought came in 2005 when he and Ted Lucas went head to head with Indi Giant TVT Records over “Welcome To The 305″ Pitbull album. 2 years in court, Jullian came out the winner, with an undisclosed multi-million dollar win. Next up for this A&R champion is a new show in the making with BET, a major summer Slip n Slide tour and much much more.
