Weekend Wrap-Up – Asher Roth, DunkXchange, DRAKE in Miami for the first time

Interesting weekend in The305. There was a little rain here and there, but otherwise, it was a great weekend. Most of you who come on here regularly can already see that

Friday, Drake came through Miami for his very first performance and appearance, and out of the buffet of clubs that he could’ve hit up on South Beach, he chose The 400 Club at Club 5th. He definitely made a couple ladies in the crowd more than happy. We posted the video yesterday.

Friday, Asher Roth came through and represented blankitos everywhere over at Mansion. Shout out to them Soles Inc (which is right around the corner from Mansion) fellas twittering all about it through their night.

Saturday afternoon brought the onslaught that we call DunkXchange and unfortunately we weren’t able to make it, but Like Mike Clothing did and here’s a photo recap of the happenings out there. All the local favorites were out there, Like Mike (of course), Bird Club, Da Bottom Clothing and others. Plus Givens held it down as always.

Saturday night brought an unexpected, but dope party. Meaning I didn’t see it get promoted to weel. But Jazzy Jeff at the Shelborne Hotel. We hear he tore it up as usual. I’ve seen him do sets multiple times over the years and he NEVER dissappoints.

Sunday, hands down NAS held it down at the ultra-sheik, LIV at the Fountainebleau – no word if he made it through though. But regardless, it was for the occassion of celebrating Abebe Lewis’ birthday. Shouts to Abebe.
