We The Best Alive!!!. Apparently there was some kind of police chase in Los Angeles that led to the death of a Pakistani man that looked like our very own DJ Khaled. Well, it was just that, a “resemblance”. Khaled is alive and kicking “making hits” as he said, at his new We The Best Recording Studios. Here’s the official statement he wrote on his Myspace page.
“…This is DJ Khaled and due to recent press and news reports I feel compelled to release a statement. Just to be clear I am in Miami, FL working on Rick Ross’ album, Deeper Than Rap. I am not in LA where there are reports that I have been in a police chase. These reports are completely false and unfounded….”

DJ Khaled Alive And Well In Miami Despite Suicide Reports
Published Tuesday, February 10, 2009 4:46 AMSources have told AllHipHop.com that famed Miami DJ Khaled of the Terror Squad was not the driver of a white Bentley who was shot and killed, after a four-hour police pursuit in Los Angeles.
Rumors spread across the Internet after a man resembling the Miami DJ allegedly led police on four-hour chase, at speeds of no more than 40 mph on the Hollywood Freeway and Interstate 5.
LAPD officer Karen Smith said the driver of the $100,000 dollar car was despondent, allegedly armed and suicidal.
Police said the driver of the Bentley was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on his girlfriend.
The area was cordoned off by police after the driver stopped on Lankershim Boulevard shortly after 11:00 PM and popped his trunk, making it difficult for police to have a direct view of the luxury vehicle.
Officers stormed the vehicle and broke open the passenger window, only to find the driver of the Bentley slumped over in the front seat.
He was pulled from the vehicle, placed on a stretcher and rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.
DJ Khaled, born of Palestinian descent, in New Orleans, resembled the unidentified man in question, who police said was from Pakistan.
DJ Khaled called into Los Angeles’ Power 106 as well and said that he was busy “making hits in Miami.”

Comment by ms. b 02.10.09 @ 10:28 amThe suicide that occurred last night was a horrific event. Whether the person is DJ Kahled or not it is still an unfortunate loss to everyone affected. No life is worth taking. From incidences like this, people should grow strength knowledge, and educate their loved ones about other options and available resources when someone is contemplating suicide or homicide for that matter. Remember, everyday is a gift of life. Let’s enjoy it with love, peace, and harmony. We should all have faith and belief in ourselves and our hopeful future. When we fall we must find the strength in ourselves and in our brothers and sisters to reach out our hands and pull each other up. As the passage in Luke 22(32) states,” But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers. “So to everyone, there are times that are weakness overcomes us and our beliefs are challenged, but it is then we must remember there is a light and warmth within a dark cold shallow tunnel we stumbled upon. “There is recovery, there is healing, and there is restoration (Wilson, 2009)” available to us all.
