Ever wonder how Kanye would sound rapping on Kenna’s song? What if The Jonas Brothers sang over some hiphop breakbeats? What if Thom Yorke sang on Lupe’s “Superstar?” What if Sara Bareilles bought a sampler and not a piano? The list goes on… but the answers can be found here. Words and link courtesy of Mick Boogie

Its a different look for Vibe and looks promising. Its the “Fashion Issue” so expect it to be fashion/sneaker/urban-wear heavy all throughout. Spotted over at ImFlashy

John Legend will be rolling through with Estelle tonight at The Fillmore. I’m hoping that Andre 3000 will magically appear and do a small set with him, but chances are that won’t happen. Tickets are still available, click here to purchase…
The community has been voicing its concern over that Liberty City massacre from the other day. Luke spoke and now Al Sharpton made sure he swung by Miami yesterday to speak to the community…

A quick camera phone snap of Pharrell rocking some Spongebob Bapestas that are apparently made out of a crocodile skin material with a yellow theme and a Spongebob face right on the heel. These look like they are one of a kind, so not sure if they’ll ever be released. Via Sneakernews

Cara and Jaime met four years ago while trying out for the Miami Dolphins cheerleading squad. The two made an instant connection and have been friends ever since. Cara is planning to attend law school and Jaime is a former police officer.
Cara, a graduate of UCLA, is currently working for a non-profit fundraising organization benefiting individuals with mental disabilities. She prides herself upon being a loyal and devoted friend. Cara even deferred attending her first year of law school just to support Jaime’s dream to run in this Race around the world. Cara is a true thespian who enjoys dancing and singing. She describes herself as compassionate, intelligent and outgoing.
Jaime comes from a family of police officers. Following in her mother and father’s footsteps, she graduated from the police academy and donned the uniform for a few years. Jaime is an avid animal lover and volunteers at a non profit no kill shelter for dogs. She was also a cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins for six years and was chosen to represent the squad at the 2007 Pro Bowl. Jaime enjoys reading and traveling and describes herself as adventurous, passionate and witty. Cara’s biggest pet peeve about Jaime is that she tends to be stubborn and a bit of a control freak, while Jaime claims that Cara is too nice and needs to stop worrying about keeping the peace. Both Jaime and Cara have a highly competitive nature and a need to win.
Don’t put it past these two to use their good looks to their advantage for a shot at the million dollars and the chance to become the first ever all female team to win the Race.
Cara Rosenthal (26); Jaime Edmondson (29)
Hometown: Boca Raton, Fla./Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Occupation: Cara (Law Student); Jaime (Former Police Officer)
Relationship: Former NFL Cheerleaders

Made by Jailbreak Toys, here’s the unofficially official Obama Action Figure. It may be a bit too far with this whole Obama craze, but either way, $14.99 and its all yours. Click here to purchase via WizardSleeveToys. And read the product description below:
Like countless others out there, we were inspired by the meteoric rise of Barack Obama and his campaign. In a time when America so desperately needed a hero, along came a man who showed us a brand new vision of what America and the world could be in the 21st century. In many ways, Obama is the closest thing we’ve ever seen to a superhero… someone who has literally inspired millions of people simultaneously to step past fear, to be brave enough to hope and to go past cynicism and imagine what we could be if we were at our best. That’s the stuff of legend! And we wanted to pitch in.
In that spirit we created the Obama Action Figure because every superhero should have one.

If you’re into this kind of shit, I’m sure you’ll like it. After much success with the Akon assisted version of “Let’s Dance”, Lady Gaga follows up with her second video/single “Poker Face”. I had to post for my Y100 crowd…

I can really relate to this song right now, I have it on straight repeat on this mix I have. Check it and download it below, its off of his Ghostwridah’s most recent release The Ruler’s Back, which released a few months back. Read our review of The Ruler’s Back by clicking here.

Serum has garnered a legendary status around his name in independant hip-hop circuits and pretty much ran the battle scene in Miami for a good amount of time a few years back. Well, here’s a teaser release of his archived material between the years of 2001 and 2007. Download it below…

I saw Mauikai perform the other night at PS14 during “Heart & Sole 2″. She really has a great presence as a singer and as an emcee. She even had a little crowd interaction going on during her song “Negative Space” (***I think that was the title***). But yeah, as soon as she was done performing, I had to buy one of her CD’s to check out some of her recorded material. Below is one of the songs called “Love Of You” from her Beyond The Road EP. Check more of Mauikai over at www.myspace.com/mauikai
