Miami Hip Hop News Snippets

Following the success of 50 Cent’s endeavors, it seems like everyone will pretty soon have a self-made mixtape to their name. P.M. of the Iconz has just released a second installment and Pitbull has just released one of his own. To listen to previews of what these heavy hitters have to offer go to 305hiphop’s Soundclick Page.

Aside from mixtapes, a lot of albums are being worked on. Garcia’s album Anti-Social is almost complete and features production from the likes of Nick Fury, Drain, Profile and few others. More recently, Dynas stepped in on the title track to Garcia’s album, and from the looks of it, the album is going to get a lot of burn up around the way. Speaking of Dynas, he is set to release his solo effort on DJ’s Spinna’s Beyond Real imprint real soon and just has a couple of tracks left to finish. Also, look out for Da All’s Who’s Crazy album to officially be in stores on March 11. Expect other albums from the likes of Idee4, members of the Street Light Poets family, and SoulWhat?

Public Wizard Inc. is going to do a second installment of the SoFlow Project, but this time it will strictly focus on being a promotional tool for Miami’s local hip hop artists. Confirmed artists on the project include Garcia, Dynas, Skam, Draz and Eloheim thus far. Submissions are still being taken, go here to find out more information.

Openzine Magazine has become the premier publication for Miami Hip Hop. Kiki Valdes has just let know that for right now the magazine’s next issue will be put on hold until 2004. Be sure that when the new sets of issues come about, Openzine will be better than ever. Don’t get it twisted, will still be fully operational for the mean time and will include new features very soon. If you have any news that you want them to post email, Kiki or Humby with a detailed write up of the news.

Praised for their Gamevoice online radio show that pulled in over 13,000 listeners; Godfree, Bambino & Ricotubbs are set to debut a brand new Hip Hop Talk Show online covering reviews, interviews, topic discussions and more. The show has yet to be given a name but we will let you know what it is and where to listen to it as soon as we get word from that camp.
